Through financial and technical support for countries working to reduce poverty and inequality, we help improve health and education, and advance infrastructure. Our aim is to achieve development in a sustainable, climate-friendly way. With a history dating back to 1959, today we are the leading source of development financing for Latin American and the Caribbean. We provide loans, grants, and technical assistance; and we conduct extensive research. We maintain a strong commitment to achieving measurable results and the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
The Bank’s current focus areas include three development challenges – social inclusion and equality, productivity and innovation, and economic integration – and three cross-cutting issues – gender equality and diversity, climate change and environmental sustainability; and institutional capacity and the rule of law.
The Destination Experience
The Destination Experience is a social discovery platform designed to connect passionate people through highly curated experiences. We are the creators of the Visionaries’ Summit, which is purpose-built to drive a paradigm shift in the economic outlook of the Caribbean. The summit offers an interactive master class in innovation, designed to connect business leaders with a dynamic network of ideas, people and opportunities. We offer a collaboration focused think tank for business luminaries underscored by luxury and entertainment with an aim to transform the Caribbean and ultimately the World.
Since inception, we have seeded over US$300M in innovative investments for our community across a variety of industries and the Community participants control capital in excess of US$140 billion. Past participants include Jack Dorsey – Co-Founder and CEO of Twitter/Square; Jeff Pulver – Founder of Vonage; Wes Edens – Founder and Chairman, Fortress Investment Group; Michael Lee-Chin – Founder and Chairman, Portland Holdings Inc; Patrick Byrne – Founder, Overstock.com and John Burbank – Founder and CIO, Passport Capital.
In May of 2015, we were privileged to be honoured as “An Innovative Platform for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship and a Unique Business Catalyst” by President Obama at the White House. The organization has also been recognized by the World Economic Forum at the 2016 Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland and has been featured in numerous global publications including Forbes.

Caribbean Climate-Smart Accelerator
The Accelerator catalyzes and accelerates priority initiatives toward a Climate-Smart Zone, delivering resilience, social development, and broad-based economic growth for the Caribbean. Our central objective is to help transform the region’s economy by fast-tracking sound public and private investment opportunities that support climate action and economic growth through sustainable development. Drawing on the deep experience of our nations and institutions, a group of twenty-seven visionary Caribbean Governments, alongside some of the largest global
